IAOPA, the influential International Council of AOPAs and, in effect, the parent body of national Associations, is represented by AOPA members, acting as members, advisors or observers, on the many international consultative, planning and management bodies dealing with all aspects of aviation. These delegates are drawn from the national AOPAs.
This list is of some of these bodies shows the wide variety of activity with which IAOPA is involved. It also provides a useful glossary of the meaning of the initials or acronyms used for them in aviation and official literature and parlance.
