| Guernsey Aero Club are delighted to announce that the major extension to their club house is now complete.The new facilities include an extended training room, office and bar area plus a wide balcony with tables and chairs, from where members and their friends can watch the airfield activity. |

| New Goodwood Aviation Show Expands At The 2010 Festival Of Speed |

| Last month The Earl of March announced the introduction of a dedicated ‘Goodwood Aviation Show’ as part of the hugely popular Festival of Speed.This inaugural Aviation Show was initially planned to be held within the grounds of Goodwood Park as an important addition to the annual Festival of Speed, which is set to take place this year over four days, from 1-4 July. |

| CAA Modifies Volcanic Ash Restrictions |

| Following representations from AOPA UK the CAA has modified the restrictions that had been imposed on GA when volcanic ash exceeded limits.Fron 12:00 UTC on 18 May 2010 new guidance to Air Traffic Units replaces ATSIN 182. |

| Some of you will be aware of ATSIN 182 and some of you may have experienced some of the results during the last period of ash restrictions.Following on from that I have on behalf of AOPA UK been in contact with the CAA's Air Traffic Standards Division with a view to clarifying policy and trying to ensure that practice follows policy. |
